Yesterday I spent a lot of time to be obsessed with the paint color for my walk -in wardrobe. I studied the pictures. I tested more colors. I tried to mix my own paint colors. I looked at pictures of pink/coral cabinet. I looked at pictures of blue cupboards. I leafed through Instagram and Tikkok. I searched for Houzz. I read all of your comments again. I clicked on all links you have provided.
I had started the day absolutely positively that I would have a coral cabinet, and about 99% sure that I would choose #7, sweet angel. But around noon I wasn’t even sure if I liked the coral. Basically, I was influenced by every new comment that I read. And until last night I was more confused than ever before.
So last night I put together the two pictures – the picture with the blue rehearsals and the picture with the coral samples – and I worked on the floor so that the dark floor would not be a distraction.
After spent a lot of time at the end of last week to be obsessed with the floor color, I had already made this decision and ordered the products. After I had scrolled Instagram and Tikkok who had seen all Red Oak floors that were completed with Bona products that I could find, I decided to use Bona Red on my floor with Bona Natural (the second of the lightest) and then use Bona traffic. Every time I saw a red oak floor I loved, I read the description and found that they had used the bona natural on these floors. And in particular, a Tikok sold me to use Red Out first. So I went with it.
Here is a great example for Bona Natural on Red Oak, but this is just one of many who have influenced my decision.
With the presence of my floor, I tried to remove all the noise and disorder out of my head, and simply let me make a real, honest decision that is based on my own preferences and wishes without influence from outside. Do I like the blue or coral better without the influence of another?
I know I will shock you and probably disappoint at least half of you, but I actually like the blue better.
I like it better for so many reasons. Firstly, I think that blue kind is of neutral importance, so that it does not fight against all colors in my clothes, handbags and shoes. It is also much more calming than the coral. I love pink and coral, but you will find that I use them in our house as an accents quite economical, with the possible exception of my studio. But even in my studio, all of this pink is surrounded by one Very much White and super light gray.
And then there is my kitchen that I love. It is not quite as bright as what I want to use for the cabinet, but it’s not a dark teal either.
And let’s not forget our bathroom, where I have chosen a very light green Venetian Gips look for the walls.
For me, these lighter blue -green colors are not at all out of the character. I also think that blue with the lighter floors will look as much better than corals. And finally I think that blue is much better for the overall of our main bedrooms, which I wish. I want this bedroom suite to be full of color, but not necessarily lively color in my arms. I actually hope that our bedroom is dark, more moody and brave and rather bright, colorful and happy. I usually want it to be peaceful and calming with accents lighter, warm colors. And I want the adjacent areas to complement this look.
I now have my heart on a light blue set, but it has to have a touch of green in it. This means that I just have to look until I find the right blue.
Last night when I scroll and scrolling, I came across a few Sherwin Williams colors that I want to test. When I scroll for blue cupboards and blue rooms, I kept encountering a very popular color called faded flax flower. It is a little darker than the colors I tested and I think that will help to avoid this kindergarten look.
The color Sherwin Williams is only one step more easily than blast flax flowers is called Sleepy Hollow and it is also a beautiful blue that doesn’t read “Baby Blue” to me.
And then the next of this moon manure is called.
I came across a changing room in this color from the Kwendy house on Instagram. This may actually be too light for my taste, but I was pleased to see that even this light still doesn’t read it “baby kindergarten”.
So I go for blue, but the search for the perfect color is still switched on. I have the feeling that I will find the perfect blue at Sherwin Williams. And my fears to close with a closet that looks like a kindergarten teacher is now. I am also very happy that I took the time to test corals. If I had avoided this step and would only have expressed myself with blue, I would have joined a picture of a beautiful pink or coral walk -in wardrobe every time I made a mistake with my decision. But now I know that I tried it, I compared them next to each other, and I really prefer the blue. I can continue now. I just have to find the perfect blue now.
