Annual room check for 2024 and goals for 2025

It is again this season in which we look back on the previous year and set some decorative goals for the new. I have become much more realistic about our Reno goals. When it comes to renovation, it is sometimes better to wait. But I also want to have a plan so that I can actually do things! I look at our priorities and our budget before I enter big projects. However, I love a Mini Makeover. They take very little time and money. And I try to do as much as possible that is so worthwhile.

Now let’s take a look at what we have achieved this year.

Family and (hidden) cinema room

I have to start with our longest make-over. It finally ended last year. This was our largest (and most expensive) room structure in the new house. We knew that it would be a big job, but underestimated the time that would take time to end and stay in the budget. Fortunately, we took the time because it meant that we could do things exactly as we wanted. We decided High-end interfaces And dreamy accessories So that this space gives the WoW factor, it deserves. Out of High -quality customer -specific sofas for tailor -made wall paintingsNo corner became untouched. And it turned out that it was pretty perfect, even more than I could have ever imagined. This is now my favorite room in the house, although it is taken over by our girls most of the time that laze on the sofa. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

The colorful girl’s bedroom

My youngest daughter wanted her room to reflect her personality. The words she used about what she was looking for were colorful and funny. I am a neutral lover, so this was a little challenging, but I was determined to design something that would both make us happy. We chose a floral mural for the main wall, which is a nice mixture Abstract pattern And Color. In order to stay with the contemporary topic, all other walls etc. were painted. I love how light and airy the room feels despite all the different colors. Children’s rooms can often feel overcrowded and chaotic, but I have the feeling that we switched to the ball with this. It looks clean and minimalistic, but is still quirky and fun!

WARDROBE

The cloacroom mini-makeover was not planned, but since it was so quick and cheap to carry out a few smaller updates, I decided to do it. We replaced the old tiles over the sink and added a nature-inspired gallery wall (with dried flowers from our garden!). It got perfect and I love the DIY dried flower art, which I did myself. I enjoyed mixing different shapes and sizes for this gallery wall and creating a coherent look. The rustic tiles also give the room a nice note. I’m not quite finished with this room yet. I will share more later this year!

Home gym

The previous owners had converted this room into a home fitness studio, so we didn’t have to do much work. The large mirrored sliding doors jump around the room and give the illusion of a much larger space than actually. It is also useful to see yourself during training. Behind these mirror doors there is a small toilet and a washroom (on which we are currently working). I couldn’t choose the ground cover, but if I had it, I would have decided on something easier and bacon. The black mat floors show very easily dust and markings. It’s pretty indestructible, but it’s just not my thing. If we would change it in the future, I would probably decide a more natural and light -colored soil. We added the shelves, storage and fitness equipment, and that was it. I am so happy that we have this room because I have recently had the only way to stick to any kind of practice regime.

Washroom

We have worked on our latest Makeover for Mini-Room-Makeover over Christmas, so I have not yet revealed anything here. This is a tiny space, but I am determined to make it a functional laundry/supply room. We ordered some Tailor -made chewing boards And built it myself. I will soon share all the details with you, but I can tell you that it looks so much better.

Plans for 2025

Our main bedroom will be the big project for this year and maybe next. We have a lot Infrastructure work to do (movable radiators, moisture resistance, new floor coverings, etc.) so that it is not a quick solution. I would like to be able to do this quickly, but it is more important that we do everything in the correct order. I have a Moodboard ready to go and I will take a little more risk with this room. It will be a cozy and quiet sanctuary. I could even wallpaper all the walls.

I also think about making a few mini-makeovers. Our Guest room And Guest bath Need a paint of the color, so that could be a DIY job. I hope to be more practical this year and do as much as possible. Especially when it comes to painting and small repairs. I also plan to promote some of the old furniture we have and give me a new life contract.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I also wanted to say a big thank you for being here and reading my blog. For me it really means the world and I am grateful that I have done it for over 10 years. Also a big thank you to all the wonderful brands with which I had the pleasure last year to work together last year. I hope to stay in touch and am looking forward to new opportunities that can arise this year.
