How to bring the popular French country style to your kitchen

French country is a design style with a lot of attraction. Vintage design elements with modern flavors, richly decorated patterns and a general noble feeling that can still be reached on all levels.

1. Provence tiles

Handbemale or patterned tiles, often in soft blue, outside the white and sometimes a different color such as yellow or green, are a staple food of French country kitchens. These tiles can be used for back splashes, floor coverings and even tablet tops. Traditional Provencal designs often offer floral or geometric patterns and give the kitchen a personal and artistic note.

2. Zilated cupboards

In contrast to the simple cupboards in the Shaker style, which are common in farmhouse kitchens, French country cabinets often have complicated details. Find curved edges, carved shape parts and desperate paintwork. Cerrass doors with glass pools can also improve the look and show beautiful matching dishes and collectibles.

3. Ironwork details

Forging iron is a key material in French land design. Whether in the form of a decorated chandelier, a pot shelf or even delicate cabinet handles, iron adds a handmade feeling of the old world. Find pieces with curved, scroll -like details to create this characteristic French touch.

4. Natural surfaces

A mixture of natural materials is a trademark for French country kitchens, especially when it is presented on an island or a counter. Butcher plates bring the palette of warm tone, while stone – like limestone or marble – combines a more elegant note. A worn, slightly imperfect finish has the feeling that really makes the French country style able.

5.

A deep apron sink is both beautiful and extremely practical. If you can make one of firing walls or stone, even better, and if you find one with a decorative design in front, even better. These sinks fit seamlessly into the French country style, especially in combination with a classic bridge tap in an aged brass or nickel to improve the timeless look.

6. The highlighting details

Of course, however, it is the details that make up the difference when styling a place. French country kitchens include nature, but in a way that feels effortlessly. Dried lavender bundle, hanging herbs and simple flower arrangements bring life into the room. Copper pots, which often hung on a wall or a rack, add a warm metallic contrast, while they are still functional for cooking. Both usually stand out against the usual neutral backdrop of the French country.

A French country kitchen is about balance – rustic and yet sophisticated, functional and yet beautiful. Every detail, from the tile work to the iron accents, tells a story of craftsmanship and tradition. It has a unique feeling that is still inspired, which means that every meal and the shared memory is shared in a comfortable, warm, breathtaking space.
